General Wedding Information

  • Bookings - All function bookings must be confirmed within 21 days of making a provisional booking. A £750 deposit must be made to confirm the booking and this is non–refundable and non-transferable. No booking is confirmed until the deposit is received. Please understand that this policy is not negotiable. The balance is to be paid 1 week prior to the event. A surcharge of 5% will be made to payments by Credit Card.
  • Capacity - Maximum number for sit down meal is approx 100/110. The Maximum for a Civil Ceremony is 70 – additional guests are welcome to attend after the Ceremony.
  • Food & Drink - Various drinks and menu options are available. Evening buffets must be ordered for the total number of guest attending the function. Please note – we do not operate a corkage policy all drinks must be bought through the venue.
  • Final Numbers & Payment - Final Numbers must be confirmed 14 days prior to your function. These will be taken as final and you will be charged accordingly. Final invoice must be paid 7 working days prior to event. A surcharge of 5% will be made to payments by Credit Card.
  • Flowers / Table Decorations - Flowers are not provided but we are happy to place your centre pieces etc on the tables. We do not allow the use of foil table confetti.
  • Music / Entertainment - We have a licence to play live music until 12.00 and recorded music until 01.00. Background music can be played during the meal.
  • Bar Opening - Last orders will be no later than 00:30 with the bar closing no later than 01:00.
  • Appointments - When you wish to visit the Golf Club to discuss your requirements please phone beforehand to arrange a mutually convenient time. Tel: 01239 820244. Please note that we will only discuss the arrangements for your day, including rooming lists etc with the Bride and Groom, if you would like other family members or friends to attend with you please let us know in advance.
  • Bridal Suite & Accommodation - All available accommodation must be booked for a minimum of 2 nights for your wedding during the main season - The Bridal Room will then be provided free of charge for the night of the wedding & includes breakfast. Rooms are charged at the prevailing rates and are not subject to further discounts or special offers. A 20% deposit will be required on the accommodation and full payment for rooms is due 21 days prior to arrival.
  • Civil Ceremony - the current fee payable to us is £175.00 for 2011 – this rises to £225 for 2012.
  • Also included on request - CD Player, Cordless Microphone, seating plan display board and silver cake knife.
  • Cancellation - Should the client cancel a confirmed booking the following charges will apply depending on our ability to re-sell the function room. Please note that every effort will be made to re-sell the function room. The initial deposit of £750 will be forfeited even if the date is re-sold. We strongly recommend you take out insurance against cancellation.
